True North Classical Academy is proud to announce that Milad Farajzadeh, Danielle Morrison, and Dillon Powell, all members of the Class of 2027, have been named Semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program!

This prestigious recognition places these students among the highest-scoring participants in their state and gives them the opportunity to continue competing for one of the National Merit Scholarship Program’s highly selective $2,500 one-time scholarships.

More than 1.2 million juniors from approximately 20,000 high schools entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). Just over 16,000 students were selected as Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.

Additionally, we are thrilled to celebrate another outstanding achievement from the True North Class of 2027!

Daniel Alonso, Leahn Cespedes, Eva Lacayo, Alvaro Lazo, and Travis Phinney have been named National Merit Commended Students in recognition of their exceptional academic achievement and promise!

Approximately 34,000 students nationwide have earned this distinction, placing them among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

This accomplishment reflects the dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence these students have demonstrated throughout their time at True North. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
