Non-Discrimination Statement

In accordance with federal and state anti-discriminatory laws True North Classical Academy will not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, disability or marital status against a student in its school admission process. Students who are identified as needing ESE or ELL programs shall have an equal opportunity of being selected for enrollment in the school. Any eligible student, as described in FL Statute 1002.33(10), who submits an application (prior to posted deadline) and whose parents accept the conditions of the Family Handbook and Parent Contract shall be considered unless the number of applications exceeds the capacity of the program, class, grade level, or building. In such case, all applicants shall have an equal chance of being admitted through a lottery process. True North Classical Academy will comply with Florida’s charter school legislation, Fla. Stat. 1002.33(10) (e), which states that schools may give enrollment preference to certain student populations.

These populations include:

  • Students who are the children of an employee of the charter school
  • Students who are siblings of a student enrolled at the charter school
  • Students who have successfully completed, during the previous year, a voluntary prekindergarten education program under ss. 1002.51-1002.79 provided by the charter school (True North Early Learning Academy)
  • Students who are the children of a founding member of the Board of Directors of the charter school
