7th Grade Civics Field Trip

Once again, our True North 7th graders will visit our State Capital for an incredible three day field trip that is a capstone experience to all they are leaning in Civics. On the agenda is a visit to University of Florida on our way to Tallahassee. Once at the Capitol it is an insiders visit that includes a mock session in the Senate Chambers, a behind the scenes tour of the Governor’s mansion, a VIP lunch with various Representatives and Senators, attending a live Supreme Court case, a special address to the students by newly appointed Education Commissioner Corcoran, and to top it all off a visit to FSU with an evening outing to a FSU basketball game. Last year there was a special guest appearance by FSU President Thrasher during the game.
